LES FRANKLIN

Mr. Franklin is Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is employed by the state of Colorado and is the Director of the Governor's Job Trainning Office. Prior to this appointment. Mr. Franklin was an executive at IBM. Mr. Franklin is a motivational speaker, having spoken to government and private industry groups across the United States. Since the death of his son, Shaka, he has dedicated his life to youth and family issues and the success of The Shaka Franklin Foundation.

JAMON FRANKLIN

Mr. Franklin is the older brother of Shaka Franklin. He is currently a student at the University of Colorado Denver and activities supervisor at the Boys/Girls Club of Aurora, Colorado.

ODELL BARRY

Mr. Barry is a former Denver Bronco and former Mayor of Northglenn, Colorado. He is active in the Northglenn and Denver communities and has operated summer youth football camps for many years through his Odell Barry Youth Foundation. He is owner and president of Barry & Associates Real Estate.

DR. KENNETH CRICHLOW

Dr. Crichlow is a dentist in the Denver community. Dr. Crichlow is a member of the board of directors for the Inner City Health center. As a Shaka Franklin Foundation Board Member, Dr. Crichlow is very active in Foundation projects. He has been a mentor and advisor to a number of youth.

DR. WILBERT L. MILES

Dr. Miles is a practicing psychologist. In addition to his private practice, he is on the University of Colorado Athletic staff, providing counseling for the athletic department. He has provided pro bono counseling for youth.

ROBERT PATTON

Mr. Patton is president of the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce. He is a retired US West Exceutive and a well known community activist and leader. Mr. Patton has been closely involved with the Denver Public Schools over the years as an advocate for change in public education.

MARK HAYNES

Mr. Haynes is a former Denver Broncos football player. He is president and owner of I. J. Sports, Inc. specializing in imprinted T-shirts and sports equipment. Mr. Haynes is a quiet advocate for youth. He and his wife are active with the March of Dimes.

JAN LILLARD

Ms. Lillard has been an active volunteer with the Foundation since its inception. Ms. Lillard's experience as an Industrial Investment Advisor, with Langhoff Brooks Company, brings a new business perspective to the Foundation. She is involved with financial advisement for the Foundation. Ms. Lillard is also President of the Board of Directors for the Temple Events Center.

DAMANI CAMARA

Mr. Camara is a longtime friend of the Franklin Family, having known Shaka from birth. Shaka's death impacted his family greatly. He is committed to the success of the Foundation and is deeply concerned about the problems young people face. He is a professional counselor and currently works in that capacity with the Colorado Division of Civil Rights.

JAMES "SKIP" SPENSLEY

Mr. Spensley is a partner with Holme Roberts & Owen and a long time volunteer for the Foundation. He has represented a number of young people in the Foundation in court and helped them face legal matters.
